Make Them Suffer are truly incredible songwriters and “Fireworks” proves that point. The song, off the band’s new record Worlds Apart which comes out July 28 on Rise Records, masterfully blends heavy vocals and eerie guitars with beautiful melodies. This leads to a sense of calm and acceptance while at the same time revealing a type of suffering.
The music video, directed by Ed Reiss, plays off this idea by following two happy children who ultimately burn symbols of their innocence. By the end, we’re not exactly sure how to feel. Are we supposed to be sad? Are we supposed to look forward to the future? Or are we just supposed to observe a milestone moment in life? Watch it and decide for yourself. We’d love to hear your ideas!
