A Day To Remember have finally given us a release date for their new record, Bad Vibrations! The long awaited release is set to hit stores August 19th, and the pre-order is available now. It’s been a little while since they streamed their last single, “Paranoia,” so to accompany this announcement they’ve streamed the title track, which is a lot heavier than we’ve seen from ADTR in a while. Check out the video and the album artwork below and let us know what you think!
Out Came The Wolves are an awesome example of modern rock. They’ve got their heavy moments, they’ve got their melodic moments, and they know how to balance them. “96” starts out a little reserved but works its way through a wide variety of sounds and vocal techniques and eventually gives you that hard-hitting aggression you crave. This track is extremely dynamic and the music video has a cool rose-tinted, desert vibe that pairs well with their sometimes bare bones, but always intriguing approach.
A lot has been happening these past several days in the heavy music scene, so instead of doing a hundred individual posts we’re just going to sum up some of the highlights from this week. Let us know what you’re most stoked on or what caught you most by surprise!
Vanna have just premiered the music video for their new song “Pretty Grim” off the upcoming album All Hell, to be released via Pure Noise Records July 8th. The video follows a young man dressed to the nines in all black who turns out to be Death himself. The video definitely adheres to the name of the song, as yours truly Davey Muise appears to be on Death’s list by the end. Check out the video, pre-order the record, and be sure to catch Vanna on Warped Tour this summer!
The Amity Affliction are back with a new video for “I Bring The Weather With Me,” a single off their upcoming record This Could Be Heartbreak. The new album will be released August 12 and you can pick up your pre-order here!
If The Plot In You‘s 15 Track album, Happiness in Self Destruction, wasn’t diverse enough for you, here’s another track! Their song “Take Me Away” was not only feelsy to start with (especially with their original music video), but now this raw, acoustic sound takes it even deeper. This was a pleasant surprise in addition to their Happiness in Self Destruction Tour announcement alongside Erra, Sylar and Invent, Animate.
The Funeral Portrait recently released a lyric video for their stand alone single “Meanwhile,” and it’s probably the best song they’ve written to date. While fans are still waiting on TFP’s next record (to follow their EP For The Dearly Departed), the appropriately titled single can keep you more than satisfied in the meantime. If this is what a one-off single sounds like, we certainly can’t wait to hear what TFP have in store for us next.
Melodic hardcore quintet Hollow Bones are set to release their debut album, Lionheart, on May 27th. They’ve already shared Part 1 of the album’s track-by-track with their fans, but they’ve teamed up with the HXC Magazine team to bring you Part 2!
Get ready because this is going to be a good one. Architects have just announced that they will be touring with Counterparts, Sworn In, and Make Them Suffer beginning in July! Pre-sale tickets go up tomorrow morning and regular tickets go on sale this Friday. Get yours!
Fearless Records is killing it lately with their new signings and releases. Perfect example? My Enemies & I‘s new video for “Toxic.” Bring on the buckets of black paint and The Grudge-like stares. This song is as intoxicating as its name promises. While you’re at it, check out the rest of the Sick World EP!
