We Came As Romans Release New Single “Wasted Age”

We Came As Romans have released their first single since their self-titled record and it gets back to the heavier WCAR many fans missed the last time around. While it’s still got Kyle Pavone’s clean vocals thrown in and is not the heaviest track of their career, it endeavors to set the tone for the next, as yet unannounced, record.

In our last interview with We Came As Romans, the band admitted that there were things that they tried with their most recent record that did not end up being successful and they were eager to return to their roots. The new song, “Wasted Age,” is the first that the band have released on new label Sharptone Records and without drummer Eric Choi.

The band had this to say about the new song:

“When we got together and wrote ‘Wasted Age,’ we realized it was a snapshot of what we‘ve been through and are still going through as a band,” WCAR said about the song. “We are eager to play this every night on the Unbreakable Tour with Parkway Drive. This one is for our fans who continue to support us. Thank you.”

And of Choi’s departure:

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the 10 years we’ve spent with Eric in this band and the countless memories we’ve made together. He is an extremely talented musician and a great person, but life happens andwe‘re all torn in different ways as we grow older. Eric has chose to pursue a different future than we have, and as someone we respect and deeply care for,we need to allow him to live his life. The band will continue on and Eric will be successful in whatever he chooses to do and we only wish him the best.”

myka relocate_theyoungsouls

Myka Relocate have released a new single off their upcoming record The Young Souls. It’s called “Cold Hearts” and it’s insanely catchy. Though the pairing of the super heavy with some more pop-oriented elements grabs attention, the scratchy, pick sliding breakdown is the most intriguing part of the song. Take a listen for yourself below and let us know what you think of the new track.

The Young Souls officially hits stores October 30th via Razor & Tie.

In anticipation of their new album Long Live, Atreyu have released yet another single. Titled “Start To Break,” the new song sounds a lot like Atreyu from those beloved The Curse days. Complete with guitar solo and those demonic whisperings they do so well, it brings a little 2004 to 2015. Check it out and be sure to get the full album when it comes out September 18th via Spinefarm Records.

The band will also be touring with Beartooth, Wovenwar, and Unearth immediately after Long Live‘s release.

Pierce The Veil Release New Single “The Divine Zero”

Screen Shot 2015-06-19 at 1.07.50 PM

It’s been three years since San Diego natives Pierce The Veil released their monumental album, Collide With The Sky. Fans have been waiting eagerly for the post-hardcore band’s fourth album to drop ever since–an album that was supposed to be ready to go come spring 2015. After months of pushing back deadlines, PTV have released their first new single, “The Divine Zero,” via Fearless Records.

After a successful last album, finding ways to make exciting new material can be difficult. (Perhaps this is why fans have been kept waiting.) That in mind, “The Divine Zero” does have a lot in common with the sound of the band’s previous record. What elevates the track, however, are the dark and exhilarating bridges; the first at the 2-minute mark and the second that fades into the outro. It’s the trademark pop-infused post-hardcore we’re used to with a slightly more menacing flare.

“The Divine Zero” is available on iTunes and can be streamed below. You can also catch Pierce The Veil on Warped Tour all summer.

Miss May I Release New Single “I.H.E.”

Miss_May_I_-_Deathless

Miss May I have released a single from their upcoming LP Deathless, and it certainly packs a punch. The new song entitled “I.H.E.” starts off strong and intense with biting screams and edgy riffs. After listening to “I.H.E.”, it seems as though the Ohio metalcore band have returned to their heavier roots. The vocals, both clean and screaming, are raw and ruthless. About two and a half minutes in, a quick but satisfying guitar solo brings us back to the chorus, chanting “I hate everything, I hate everyone” and closing the song on a powerful note.

Singer Levi Benton’s words about the upcoming LP gives fans of the band something to be excited about. In a recent interview with AP, Benton said the following about Deathless:

“This record is about how the last two years have tested us on many levels and how we have come through it all stronger and better. That’s where the title comes from, because we are deathless.”

Deathless is currently available for pre-order on iTunes and will be released on August 7th. You can also catch Miss May I on Warped Tour this summer. Stream the song below and let us know what you think in the comments.
