Patent Pending’s cover mashup, “Wasted/Wake Me Up,” is one to add to your summer jams playlist. It’s not heavy, but it sure is fun to listen to and to watch. The music video is imaginative and playful and even runs in reverse. If you’re feeling like you need a pick me up, check out this music video!

If you’re looking for some new punk jams with strong female vocals, it’s time you check out The Nearly Deads. The Nashville band recently released a new six song EP, Revenge! Of The Nearly Deads, and it sounds exactly like the album cover looks. It mixes the dark edge of destruction with a little bit of fun. It wouldn’t be a surprise to find one of these songs on the radio, but they certainly don’t leave out the beloved bite of punk rock. This EP is where self-empowerment meets wrath, and you’ve got to give it a spin.

American Standards usually center their records around social commentary, and while there is still a healthy amount of that on the Arizona band’s new record Anti-Melody, they’ve also endeavored to try something completely new for them. As tragedy after tragedy befell the band members during the writing process of this record, they realized that they couldn’t put out an honest album without being open about their personal experiences.
SAYREVILLE, NJ – Crowds flooded into New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom on Wednesday, May 10th to see the highly anticipated We Will Detonate Tour, headlined by Pierce The Veil and Sum 41, with support from Emarosa and Chapel.
Famous Last Words and Manafest hit the Championship Bar & Grill in Trenton, NJ May 9th; a venue splattered top to bottom with graffiti, plastered with band stickers and decorated with eclectic memorabilia (rusted bike handlebars, flowers, Sherlock Holmes tales, etc.). Check out some photos from their passionate performances right here!
Motionless In White are back yet again with their new release, Graveyard Shift. This band has always had a knack for genre transition, and Graveyard Shift is no exception. They stay on the industrial path they’ve been going down with tracks like “Queen For Queen” and “Necessary Evil,” the latter of which features Jonathan Davis, frontman of Nu-Metal juggernaut, Korn. MIW also introduce a more punk-inspired vibe on their single, “Loud(Fuck It).” Most refreshing to hear is that they’re not afraid to still get heavy, which is obviously apparent on the ironically titled, “Soft.”
On March 20th, thousands of people gathered at Terminal 5 in New York to see some of the absolute biggest names in heavy music. Finally, since the release of the Ohio band’s 2014 record three years ago, we have a sophomore album! The highly anticipated Blacklist brings Dangerkids back with renewed vigor and is certain to satisfy those who have been biting their fingers. Drummer Katie Cole is just as relieved that the record is finally out to the public and sheds some light on what the reason was for the delay.
