Miami-based metalcore band Acaedia have partnered with us to bring you their newest single, “Risktaker”! Following their previous EP, Dawning, “Risktaker” is a standalone single to keep fans hyped as they work on writing a new EP for 2017. The new song was mixed and mastered by Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, Wage War, Neck Deep), and if this is the first you’re hearing of these guys, you’ll definitely want to hear more after this. You can also watch their music video for “Rotten” here.

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK: The Funeral Portrait “Meanwhile”

The Funeral Portrait recently released a lyric video for their stand alone single “Meanwhile,” and it’s probably the best song they’ve written to date. While fans are still waiting on TFP’s next record (to follow their EP For The Dearly Departed), the appropriately titled single can keep you more than satisfied in the meantime. If this is what a one-off single sounds like, we certainly can’t wait to hear what TFP have in store for us next.

REPS Talk New Record ‘Poisoned Youth’

Even if you’re apolitical, it’s essentially impossible to stay out of this year’s presidential election. The 2016 candidates have been causing the biggest stir in recent history, taking the frustrations of Americans to extremes and even inciting physical violence. The airwaves are constantly muddied with the latest “shocking” phrases spewing from politicians’ mouths like some sinister version of a reality TV show, and people, like New York hardcore band REPS, are pissed off.

VIDEO PREMIERE: A Day To Remember “Paranoia”

A Day To Remember is one of the few bands that remains impressive as the years go on and the record sales go up. Releasing their new material through their very own ADTR Records, they stay true to themselves and their sound and yet still move forward. Their new single, “Paranoia,” proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt. The only thing that would’ve made this video better is if the ADTR dudes transformed into actual superheroes. But given the split second AP comic book cover shown at around 1:10, maybe they’re saving the tights and the capes for the next video.

Atreyu Premiere New Song “Start To Break”

atreyu_2015

In anticipation of their new album Long Live, Atreyu have released yet another single. Titled “Start To Break,” the new song sounds a lot like Atreyu from those beloved The Curse days. Complete with guitar solo and those demonic whisperings they do so well, it brings a little 2004 to 2015. Check it out and be sure to get the full album when it comes out September 18th via Spinefarm Records.

The band will also be touring with Beartooth, Wovenwar, and Unearth immediately after Long Live‘s release.

Music Video Of The Week: Parkway Drive “Vice Grip”

Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive are due to release their fifth studio album, Ire, this September via Epitaph Records. The music video for the album’s first single, “Vice Grip,” was released last week, and it’s not your run of the mill music video. Why? Because the entire band literally jump out of a plane midway through.

From the very beginning, the positive message Parkway Drive aim to deliver is palpable. The song screams redemption and hope with lines: “The chains set to break your soul/ Day by day/ You know the choice you have to make/ Freeze up and fade/ Or be the flame that lights the way.” Group vocals join in to express the band’s call for people to help one another, echoed in the performance they give after their big dive.

Ire will be available in stores September 25th and is now available for preorder. Check out the flying Australians below.

Between The Buried And Me Release New Song “Famine Wolves”

btbam

North Carolina natives Between The Buried And Me have released the second single from their upcoming album Coma Ecliptic. The song, entitled “Famine Wolves” is exemplary of BTBAM’s iconic and unique sound. It is nearly seven minutes of the band’s signature shredding, vicious vocals, and off-kilter beats that keep your mind and ears on their toes.

Tommy Rogers’s vocal ability is showcased in this track amongst moments of intense eeriness and theatrics, most notably around the 4 minute mark. The last minute of the song features the choice guitar stylings that fans of BTBAM have come to expect and treasure. With each new song from the band we anticipate having our faces melted off, and this progressive metal opera does not disappoint.

Coma Ecliptic will be released on July 7th through Metal Blade Records. The band will also be promoting their new album on tour with Animals As Leaders and The Contortionist. Check out the dates below to see when the Coma Ecliptic Tour is coming to your town and stream “Famine Wolves” by heading over to Metal Injection.
