Between The Buried And Me Release New Song “Famine Wolves”

btbam

North Carolina natives Between The Buried And Me have released the second single from their upcoming album Coma Ecliptic. The song, entitled “Famine Wolves” is exemplary of BTBAM’s iconic and unique sound. It is nearly seven minutes of the band’s signature shredding, vicious vocals, and off-kilter beats that keep your mind and ears on their toes.

Tommy Rogers’s vocal ability is showcased in this track amongst moments of intense eeriness and theatrics, most notably around the 4 minute mark. The last minute of the song features the choice guitar stylings that fans of BTBAM have come to expect and treasure. With each new song from the band we anticipate having our faces melted off, and this progressive metal opera does not disappoint.

Coma Ecliptic will be released on July 7th through Metal Blade Records. The band will also be promoting their new album on tour with Animals As Leaders and The Contortionist. Check out the dates below to see when the Coma Ecliptic Tour is coming to your town and stream “Famine Wolves” by heading over to Metal Injection.

New TDWP Single “South Of The City”

The Devil Wears Prada released a 7″ of their new single “South Of The City” exclusively for Record Store Day (April 18th). While the physical copy was only available for the audiophile’s holiday, the digital download is now available for purchase on iTunes and for streaming on YouTube below. The new single was preceded by a documentary of the same name from the band’s recording sessions.

The single is a significant turn in style for the well known metalcore band. The sound of “South Of The City” is more stripped down, contemplative and unassuming than some of their past tracks for which they have become known (“Outnumbered,” “Hey John, What’s Your Name Again?”, “Born To Lose”). The feeling the song exudes is a lingering one, a sensation and a sound like falling rain, as vocalist Mike Hranica repeats the line “When it rains, I feel better” for a good part of it’s 4+ minute duration.
